Subject: Publishing Infopath expense report form

Hello All:
I am trying to publish the expense report form in Infopath to my sharepoint 3.0 website. When I click file\publish to a sharepoint server with or without infopath forms services, I enter the sharepoint server name http://servername and recieve an error message "the following web server does not appear to be running sharepoint services", even though it is hosting my company web site. I am new to sharepoint and would greatly appreciate it if someone could walk me through this.
